I’m an athletic person. One day, when I was playing basketball, I got injured. I tore my right ACL and detached my lateral medial meniscus. I quickly realized my therapeutic knowledge was not enough to recover from the injury. I couldn’t rehab myself as well as be a productive father, husband, and employer, so I considered surgery as my only option. I decided to prepare. I did what little exercise I could to strengthen my leg and core, and wanted to hire a therapist to replace me during my leave. Little did I know this was going to turn my life around.
An ABC practitioner called and met with me. First thing he asked as I limped to his office was, “What happened to you?” After I told him in detail, he laughed and said, “Don’t worry.” I thought, “This dude is crazy.” However, in ten minutes, I was able to squat with minimal pain and discomfort and walk without a severe limp, which I had not been able to do for 1.5 years. The same day as my ABC treatment, I called the surgeon from NYU Langone, canceled the surgery, and took up learning and practicing ABC. Today, I am fully functional in my physical abilities. I can hike, run, bike, exercise, and play sports. I sleep better than ever, and I can sit without pain in my body.
I want to help others recover from their injuries and pain the same way I was able to recover. While not every approach will work for every person, ABC is a noninvasive healing strategy to try that has been successful for many. Through ABC, you will retrain your body to sit, stand, and move with proper alignment in order to allow your muscles and bones to be properly supported while they are healing. This support aids in the healing process and can effectively allow you to avoid more invasive treatments like surgery. It also becomes a lifestyle change that can help your body stay strong and healthy over the years. You will breathe better, sleep better, and move better after completing ABC treatment.
